Multiplier Event 1

Seminar “Trends for job seekers and employee seekers?”

Location: Turkey

 A one-day-long seminar was organized in Turkey, inviting all partners and external stakeholders (specifically university career center specialists, recruiters, youth workers, and university students) to present the results of the Intellectual Output 1. The seminar comprised a consolidation of the most common and effective ways of recruiting as well as students' favourite ways of job searching. 

The leading organization of the Multiplier Event 1 was Sabanci University. The event was held on 26th of January, 2016 at Sabanci University. 39 people from different backgrounds has participated in this event.

 

Multiplier Event 2

Location: Turkey

An extra presentation was made on intellectual outputs and creation of virtual guide. The target audience mainly consisted of students and university staff (mainly career office and international office). 8 local participants joined this event. Through this event, career offices were able to see different and similar recruitment trends in Turkey and abroad. Moreover, they learned about the social media channels used by students in job search and application. Those multiplier event served the career offices to contribute the students' employability by directing them the right resources and showing which skills and social media channels they should focus on. Students had a chance to learn which skills they need for the job market and resources to improve those skills.This event supported the dissemination of the results to students through career office staff. Following this event, one student volunteered to support creation of virtual guide as well.

Multiplier Event 3

Location: Turkey

An extra presentation was made on intellectual outputs and creation of virtual guide. The target audience mainly consisted of students and career office staff. 41 local participants joined this event. This event is expected to further support the dissemination of the results to students through career office staff. Through this event, career offices were able to see different and similar recruitment trends in Turkey and abroad. Moreover, they learned about the social media channels used by students in job search and application. Those multiplier event served the career offices to contribute the students' employability by directing them the right resources and showing which skills and social media channels they should focus on. Students had a chance to learn which skills they need for the job market and resources to improve those skills.

Multiplier Event 4

Location: Turkey

An extra seminar was held and the target audience were employers. 24 local participants joined this event. Through this event, the employers were able to see different and similar recruitment trends in Turkey and abroad. Moreover, they learned about the social media channels used by students in job search and application. Employers had a chance to see how they can contribute to develop students' skills.

Multiplier Event 5

Location: Turkey

An extra seminar was held and the target audience were both employers and students. Through this event, the employers were able to see different and similar recruitmen trends in Turkey and abroad. Moreover, they learned about the social media channels used by students in job search and application. Students had a chance to learn which skills they need for the job market and resources to improve those skills.  28 local participants and 1 international participant from Poland joined this event.

Multiplier Event 6

Location: Turkey

An extra seminar was held and the target audience were ISKUR employees. 30 local participants  joined this event. Through this event, the employers were able to see different and similar recruitmen trends in Turkey and abroad. Moreover, they learned about the social media channels used by students in job search and application. Moreover they had a chance to learn which resources can help the job seekers to improve their employability skills.

Multiplier Event 7

Location Turkey

A final closing conference organized. All partners and stakeholders were invited to this event. A invitation list created and shared with partners to add their guests to the list. RSVP was collected from guests. Regular reminders and conference programme was sent to guests. 40 local participants attended to the conference. The project results and activities were shared and the final output (virtual guide) was introduced to the audience. A panel was held on "Skills That Get You Hired". In this panel, along with the skills, changing work environments, challenges for the future and universities' role in youth development was discussed. Flyers and reports were shared with participants.

Moreover, a survey was distributed to participants for them to indicate their willingness to contribute to virtual guide. 30 participants consisting of students, employers and career officers indicated their willingness to create new content for Virtual Guide.
